Introduction[edit | edit source]
Rinold is a hunter first, an archer second, and a warrior third. He doesn't back down from fights, but he doesn't look for them either. While introduced as a character early in Eve of Snows, he transtions into a major POV character in Chapter 1 of Whispers of Ghosts.
History[edit | edit source]
He has ridden with Pikarn's troop of Estertok Wardens since before the Wolverine's first encounter with Eliles as a child (see: "Hiding Fire" included in the Meliu novella before those chapters were combined with Eve of Snows). While the cause for his nickname is left a bit of a mystery, there are two known possibilities to consider. 1: It is because of his tracking skills to find hidden "nuts." 2: The twitch of his face left by a wound to his face leaves the impression of a squirrel's whiskers twitching.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Rinold is a bit of a smart ass with a slightly dark sense of humor. He is loyal to his friends, in particular the Wolverine. It's fairly clear that he sees the Wardens as his family. He dislikes cities, or for that matter, even villages. He is happiest in the woods and mountains.
Physical Description[edit | edit source]
Rinold is short and wiry with a scruffy appearance. Brown hair and eyes, with a diistinct scar, the wound that left him with a twitch in his face.
