Introduction[edit source]
Liermu is the Mistress of Trials in Istinjoln, a role seen as critical in testing the power of prayer of postulants. In her role, she wields the Maimer's Lash, a whip that is an artifact from teh Age of God Wars.
History[edit source]
Born Liermu Bermol in the town of Merutven, she was orphaned at the age of four and sent to live with adherents of Sol at Siluvus Abbey not far away. At the age of five she moved to Istinjoln to become a barefoot postulant seeking the priesthood. She excelled in her studies but by the time she reached the age of thirty she grew frustrated with the pursuit of the High Priesthood and trained to replace Kolvurn of Trethome as the Master of Trials.

Most people see Liermu as enjoying her job just a little too much, considering her mean or downright sadistic. She takes her position seriously, believing it is critical for trainees to be able to perform under pressure and in pain.
