CMU Chapter 46

Chapter Forty-Six: Fevered Visions

Nicôdî tû Dêidontâ, using his psychic link with the efenijê Sûnugar, tracks Relegôs tû Keldelin in Aprelêu’s Wave District to fulfill Poleen Juvukis’s order for his discreet death. Experiencing the world through Sûnugar’s heightened senses, Nicôdî follows Relegôs, noting his routine and lack of vulnerabilities. Relegôs, unaware, is lured into a Moltôlboc carriage by hired thugs, including a known assassin, after a cryptic exchange. Suspecting foul play, Nicôdî and Sûnugar pursue the carriage to The Sink, where Relegôs’s dismembered body is dumped, confirming his death by Moltôlboc hands, not Sûnugar’s. Nicôdî, realizing the Moltôlbocs preempted Poleen’s plan, plans to inform her and host his own gathering to probe Aprelêu’s intrigues, aligning with Poleen’s gala to expose enemies like Berjer Fendênus, Nedrich nâ Hilêômbrâ, and the Compunêu Trade Consortium, advancing her vengeance and her father’s yostul ambitions.
