Chapter Forty-Five: Seed Dreams[edit | edit source]

In Aprelêu, Poleen Juvukis, as Kontzulê Polênu Juvilêus, dreams of her mother Ezeldu teaching her about indilus, hinting at enchanted topaz as a key to its growth, reinforcing her resolve. Meeting Relegôs tû Keldelin at the Rainbow and Swan, she baits him with knowledge of the lost donu-honêsh cargo, claiming the cigar box’s map locates it southwest of Boboru. Poleen accuses the Compunêu Trade Consortium of using donu to poison Aprelêu, leveraging Relegôs’s anti-Compunêu sentiment to spread word of her auction at a gala, expecting the Compunêu to act. She denies Nicôdî tû Dêidontâ’s Compunêu ties, citing his gifting of the cigar box. Ordering Sûnugar to kill Relegôs publicly, implicating the Compunêu, Poleen prepares for Kontzûl Emerotô’s arrival and her gala, using the donu cache to lure enemies like Berjer Fendênus and Nedrich nâ Hilêômbrâ, securing Nicôdî’s Written Jewels and Notoholis access, advancing her vengeance and her father’s yostul ambitions amidst Aprelêu’s dangers.
