Introduction[edit source]

Eliles is a pivotal figure in Eve of Snows, known as the Dame of Fire for her role in protecting the Silone people from the Shadows of Man. Once a priestess of Istinjoln, she became an outcast and hero through her mastery of feral magic and the Sliver of Star.

History[edit source]

Little is known of Eliles’ early life, though she hails from Silone lands. Her father called an Inquisitor due to her feral magic and her mother saved her by abandoning her near woodlands said to be inhabited by witches; believing her daughter to be a witch, she expected them to rescue and nurture her. Surviving with the help of her Fiery Friends (magical Te-xe, aka Elementals) and a healthy dose of luck, she is later found by Ilpen, a traveling copper-smith tinker, but they are stopped soon after by an Inquisitor. With the fortuitous arrival of Pikarn and his people, the Inquisitor is turned away, and Ilpen concocts a plan to hide the girl and her feral magic in the last place the inquisition would look: Istinjoln Monastery, seat of the Church's power in the lands of the Choerkin Clan. Ilpen is friendly with Priest Dareun of Istinjoln, and this gentle soul takes her under his wing.

Personality[edit source]

Eliles exhibits determination and a sacrificial nature, shaped by her rejection and trials. She possesses feral magic, commanding Fire and Spirit with elemental “friends” (te-xe), amplified by the Sliver of Star to unleash devastating flames. Her introspective side emerges in her love for Ivin and her fateful choice.
