Colok strength and warden blades prevail, but Modan is gravely injured by a Shadow, saved by Zjin. At Snow’s Eye, Tokodin reveals Istinjoln’s Steaming Lakes camp and the Sliver of Star, tying Shadows to Ulrikt’s plot via the Codex of Sol and Ailing Stars Prophecy.
