= Chapter Thirty-Eight: Hissing Mink = In Nodoru, Poleen Juvukis, as KontzulĂȘ PolĂȘnu JuvilĂȘus, learns from SandorelĂȘ of a 50,000-quil Boborun bounty on Solineus Mikjehemlut, a barbarian who insulted Lord Captain UshtrûÎk. Recognizing him from a fever dream, Poleen, at the Hissing Mink tavern, impulsively kills Captain Soderun tĂ» GalortĂȘu during Solineusâs negotiations, sparing his second, QwimĂŽn, to secure an escape. Mysteriously speaking ĂdĂąn, she invites Solineus to the *Silver Willow*. Facing ĂvorĂȘ and SandorelĂȘâs disapproval, Poleen argues GalortĂȘuâs death disrupts his crewâs pursuit, ensuring their voyage to AprelĂȘu. She proposes allying with Solineus to leverage the donu-honĂȘsh cache against InfoduhĂ», the Crying Man, potentially controlled by the Boboru or CompunĂȘu Trade Consortium. By using Solineusâs outsider status to gain InfoduhĂ»âs trust, Poleen aims to uncover donuâs production secrets, translate the Boborun scroll, and destroy the trade, enhancing her leverage for NicĂŽdĂź tĂ» DĂȘidontĂąâs Written Jewels and Notoholis access. This plan supports her vengeance against Nedrich nĂą HilĂȘĂŽmbrĂą and Berjer FendĂȘnus while aligning with her fatherâs yostul ambitions.
