Ivin, awed by Meliu’s power, secures the cabin, while Nostrolum, bonding over whiskey, joins him in rummaging through Loduma’s possessions, finding a fine arming sword. Exhausted, Meliu rests, leaving Ivin and Nostrolum to guard their newfound control, wary of the cowed crew and the uncertainties of their destination. The chapter showcases Meliu’s transformation from captive to commanding priestess, blending divine power, strategic deception, and the forging of uneasy alliances amidst a backdrop of fear and impending conflict.
