Attending a clan council, Tedeu announces Wiirê scouts located Silone slaves (possibly including her grandson) in Histê city Ghustusvarênu near the Medrisên Coast. Debate rages on rescue feasibility; Meliu volunteers to sail to Emudar/Mulshahar for coordination, driven by guilt over prior failed rescue and prophecy quests involving Ivin's potential resurrection as king priest via Sliver of Star. Kinesee probes Meliu's motives, learning of the White Lion (Rin) seeking her and hints at further codices/prophecies. Clans pledge support; Kinesee, feeling sidelined yet pivotal, resolves to search Endelêun tunnels for more holy texts with sister Alu.
