Ezeldu dies, and Poleen, feverish, demands release, but Nedrich nâ Hilêômbrâ and Captain Soderun tû Galortêu mock her, seeking Sandorelê. Nicôdî tû Dêidontâ appears, treating her wounds with mohilê paste and joluk liqueur, ensuring her survival to indebt her. Poleen awakens aboard the *Shupûtu* (*The Undaunted*), having attacked Âvorê in a delirium. Sandorelê, captaining the ship, reveals she was mysteriously delivered from the Trap. Sailing for Umdûwor via Mostul Ûbar, Poleen vows vengeance against nâ Hilêômbrâ, Galortêu, and the Notoholis, promising Sandorelê riches to join her quest.
