CMU Chapter 33
Chapter Thirty-Three: Whispers and Winds edit
Poleen Juvukis, as Kontzulê Polênu Juvilêus, sails *The Undaunted* to Simêum, noting Lultûhol’s naval buildup against a Boborun blockade. In Simêum, she reunites with Isidorus on the *Soaring Falcon*, learning Captain Soderun tû Galortêu seeks the *Nomustên*’s manifest from Darân smuggler Junggûtu Bôdîu, possibly linked to a Boborun treasure ship and the cigar box’s secret. At the Rooster Barrel, Poleen, Âvorê, and Sevôlû interrupt a deadly brawl, securing a locked chest believed to contain the manifest. Confronting Galortêu, Poleen wounds his leg but spares him, escaping with the chest. Fleeing aboard the *Soaring Falcon*, they’re pursued by Galortêu’s ships—*Eager Wing*, *Archer’s Eye*, and *Verdant Sea*. Sandorelê deploys “barrels of storm,” igniting a fiery explosion that engulfs the enemy vessels, allowing escape despite damaged sails. Poleen, horrified by the devastation, resolves to uncover the manifest’s secrets in Aprelêu, balancing her vengeance against Nedrich nâ Hilêômbrâ and Berjer Fendênus with her father’s yostul ambitions and the treasure’s allure.
