EoS Chapter 03
Chapter Three: Unseasonable Snows
Tokodin and Guntar’s escort depart the Chanting Caverns through snowy mountain trails, driven by the need to deliver a message to Istinjoln and save Meliu and others from an unseen threat. After Meliu stays behind to protect the caverns’ secrets, the group navigates the Omindi Pass, facing a snow slide and eerie signs of danger. Tokodin and Loepus investigate a miner’s corpse, eaten with eyes removed, ruling out Colok. A sudden Colok ambush shatters their progress, with the bear-like beasts wielding weapons and armor. Tokodin aids Guntar’s escape on a pony, but Loepus is beheaded saving him. Injured and despairing, Tokodin is captured alive by a Colok muttering “Choerkin,” leaving his fate uncertain as Guntar rides on with hope for Istinjoln’s aid.
