Poleen reveals the cigar box’s indilus root, a fortune that could ruin the Notoholis Aprelêu’s trade, and plans to buy Ezeldu’s freedom. Âvorê, owing her three lives, suggests a noble buyer and warns of Vitolêô’s dangers. Poleen demands a smuggler’s ship, naming Captains Sandorelê and Galortêu, and vows to raise an army if gold fails. Sheltering under boulders, she grapples with pain and Humeric tû Yulêz’s role, her resolve hardened to defy the Notoholis’s schemes.
