Chapter Fifty-Four: Tower in a Tower

Solineus arrives at Herald’s Watch with Kinesee and Alu, reuniting with Ivin amidst news of Tokodin’s poisoning of Kotin, as the island’s food stores dwindle and the Fost falls to Shadows. Eredin returns on the Entiyu Emoño with Lelishen, reporting an advancing ice bridge, prompting Roplin’s evacuation order, though Eliles stays, using the Sliver of Star to summon eternal fire around the Watch, trapping Shadows and Taken with Artus, Jinbin, and others. Ivin, torn by love and duty, sails east with Solineus and Lelishen, watching Eliles’ fiery tower rise, a bittersweet hope as he vows to return, while her sacrifice seals Kaludor’s fate, leaving the Entiyu Emoño as the last ship fleeing a transformed island refuge.
