= Epilogue: The Face of Edeenu of Sudeez = Set thirty days before the Eve of Snows, Edeenu, a newly ordained True Face, receives a critical mission from a figure posing as Lord Priest Ulrikt, revealed to be the Master Face. The epilogue unfolds through Edeenu’s perspective, detailing her ritual in the macabre Pit of the Vanquished and her assignment to shadow Ivin Choerkin, setting the stage for the next saga, Sundering the Crowns. Edeenu’s POV: Edeenu, kneeling on the bones of sacrificed children in the dark Pit of the Vanquished—in Istinjoln Monastery—prays in gratitude to Sol and Ulrikt, who spared her from this fate twelve years ago. Interrupted by a True Face appearing as Ulrikt. He inquires about her painful transformation into Japin of Andweth, a mad priest whose form allows discreet observation, assuring her that her bones will soon mold effortlessly, though she fears losing her identity. Assigned to Herald’s Watch for the Eve of Snows, Edeenu, despite not completing the Trials, is ordained a True Face with Kôlil of Mastis as her Visioner. Her mission is to blend in, observe, and follow Ivin Choerkin to the continent, choosing a face strategically without rushing, to ensure she remains close to him naturally. The Master gifts her the Codex of Crowns, a secret tome to be read only at Tomarok, emphasizing her role in a grand plan tied to Ivin’s destined death there. As Ulrikt departs, he reveals Edeenu’s ultimate task: to follow Kinesee, Ivin’s bride, the “Daughter of the White Lion,” after his death, proclaiming Edeenu will become the greatest Face, incapable of failure. Overwhelmed by the honor and responsibility, Edeenu embraces her mission, her resolve tempered by the daunting weight of manipulating prophetic events in a new era of conflict. * [[WoG Chapter 73]] - Braving Fire * [[Whispers of Ghosts]] - Main Chapter Listing [[Category:Edeenu]] [[Category:Ulrikt]] [[Category:Kôlil Mention]] [[Category:Ivin Mention]] [[Category:Kinesee Mention]] [[Category:Istinjoln Monastery]] [[Category:Pit of the Vanquished]] [[Category:Herald’s Watch Mention]] [[Category:Tomarok Mention]] [[Category:WoG Chapters]]
