= Chapter Eight: Questions of Motive = Kinesee awakens in EndelĂȘun Palace to her ghostly "Nanny" apparition, tending to twins Kovin and Neesebelu with real nanny Netebel. Attending a clan council, Tedeu announces WiirĂȘ scouts located Silone slaves (possibly including her grandson) in HistĂȘ city GhustusvarĂȘnu near the MedrisĂȘn Coast. Debate rages on rescue feasibility; Meliu volunteers to sail to Emudar/Mulshahar for coordination, driven by guilt over prior failed rescue and prophecy quests involving Ivin's potential resurrection as king priest via Sliver of Star. Kinesee probes Meliu's motives, learning of the White Lion (Rin) seeking her and hints at further codices/prophecies. Clans pledge support; Kinesee, feeling sidelined yet pivotal, resolves to search EndelĂȘun tunnels for more holy texts with sister Alu. * SoM Chapter 7 â Murderous Debate * SoM Chapter 9 â Picking Roads
* Shadows of Man â Main Chapter Listing
