= A Forgotten Voice = A mysterious narrator addresses an unknown character, assuring them they are not dead but warning that their fate is far from simple or pleasant. It sets the stage on Kaludor, a frozen island ruled by seven clans under the Seven Heavens, a structure established after the Age of God Wars ended a thousand years ago. During that era, the Silone clans served a king priest, the voice of Sol, king of their gods, until the Great Forgetting—a cosmic shattering—banished the gods, erased mortal memories, and left the clans to govern without a central figure. This shift, seen as an abomination by Sol in the Conqueror Heaven, weakened the divine-mortal bond. For five centuries, the Sister Continents have stabilized, but the gods, still haunted by the lost truth that once drove them to destroy the world, yearn to reclaim it. This requires reuniting the "head" (a leader) with the "body" (the clans) and restoring their original order. The narrator predicts the reader will forget this exposition, yet a subconscious remnant will persist, driving them to survive and rediscover their identity as they are commanded to awaken with the phrase, "Open your eyes to blue." Who is being addressed by the narration (which is, at first, often interpretted to be the reader) is a mystery until Chapter 10: Afloat in an Ephemeral Sea. * [[EoS Chapter 01]] — Bones for Songs * [[Eve of Snows]] - Main Chapter Listing ==Key Linking Chapter== * [[Chapter 10]] — Afloat in an Ephemeral Sea
