= Chapter Two: Born of Stone = Ivin Choerkin oversees the construction of Rôemhîik, the Silone’s burgeoning fortress at the Rôemhîen Pass, alongside Kingdomer ally Morik of Shuntiskâ. At the Sîkômu Rekrôm quarry, Ivin marvels at the Kingdomers’ engineering, chiseling massive travertine blocks and transporting them via ingenious wheeled forms. Amid discussions of his reluctant betrothal to Kinesee, news arrives from Kurin, a Kingdomer Wayfinder, who reports a disastrous expedition south where Rinold and others were captured by an unknown, topaz-eyed people after escaping a colossal camouflaged serpent near a Green Mountain ruin. Ivin rallies the Silone clans to mount a rescue, with Morik pledging Kingdomer support, though Ivin must stay for his impending wedding, a union neither he nor Kinesee desires. Meanwhile, Kinesee, now fifteen and residing in the Western Tower (Pigeon’s Nest), grapples with her role as a “princess” and her frustration at Ivin’s distracted focus. Her routine is disrupted by the sudden appearance of Lelishen, a Trelelunin, who reveals a shocking secret: she and Solineus have a son, Veldehar, whose life is in danger if discovered. Lelishen urges Kinesee to use her pearl to contact Solineus, but their attempt yields no response, leaving Kinesee to ponder her new “brother” and the mysterious threat to his life, warming her heart despite the ominous implications. * [[WoG Chapter 01]] — Rain Forest Hunters * [[WoG Chapter 03]] — Western Reach * [[Whispers of Ghosts]] — Main Chapter Listing [[Category:Ivin]] [[Category:Morik]] [[Category:Kinesee]] [[Category:Kurin]] [[Category:Maro]] [[Category:Lelishen]] [[Category:Solineus Mention]] [[Category:Rinold Mention]] [[Category:Tedeu Mention]] [[Category:Kekoru Mention]] [[Category:Alu Mention]] [[Category:Veldehar Mention]] [[Category:Sîkômu Rekrôm]] [[Category:Rôemhîik]] [[Category:Pigeon’s Nest]] [[Category:Western Tower]] [[Category:Central Tower]] [[Category:Forest’s Gate Mention]] [[Category:Foggy Vale Mention]] [[Category:Barkûsh Mention]] [[Category:Shuntiskâ Mention]] [[Category:Molikîn Mention]] [[Category:Vale of Herindet Mention]] [[Category:WoG Chapters]]
