Greeted by Danwek Bulubar, Ivin confirms the Malstefnê’s retreat, attributing it to their king’s assassination, and credits Kinesee’s trade negotiations with Helmveline and the Helelindin. He tasks Danwek with maintaining daily communications between Forest’s Gate, Foggy Vale, and Green Mountain, learning of disappearances and Yellow-Eye slaver activity in the south.
